KOLT BERINGER
Born and raised in south-central Minnesota, Kolt Beringer is a certified Sound healer by the International Academy of Sound Healing (IASH), a Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Instructor by the NYC Reiki Institute, a poet, and an essayist. He works full-time in his Reiki and Sacred Sound studio at Brooklyn Sound + Reiki in south Brooklyn, accepting private and group healing sessions as well as teaching Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki workshops with certification.
Prior to receiving the call, Beringer worked in New York City’s publishing industry for more than twenty years. At the onset of the COVID pandemic, he felt an urgency to do more in the world, to be of service to the planet and all its inhabitants. Thus began his journey in alternative and holistic health services with Isha Hatha yoga, IASH Sound healing, and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki. In 2019, he was initiated in Isha Hatha yoga practices by Sadhguru through the NYC chapter. In 2021, he enrolled in various Sound Healing workshops with IASH and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki classes with NYC Reiki Institute. From 2022 to 2024, he accepted the role as the IASH NY Chapter Coordinator and worked closely with Maestro Satya Brat, apprenticing and coordinating NYC IASH Sound healing workshops and events, as well as hosted NYC IASH Sound Satsangs and Student Meetups. On April 7, 2023, he was initiated as a Reiki Master Instructor by Nana C. Deleplanque.
Beringer earned his BA from the University of Minnesota and his MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
