Originated by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s, Reiki is a noninvasive Japanese method for correcting imbalances in the body that promotes healing. The word Reiki is derived from two words: Rei (Universal) and Ki (vital life force energy). This energy surrounds all of us, and we can transmit it to people, objects, and places, among other situations. By the means of hands-on healing techniques, the Reiki practitioner administers healing energy from their hands to the recipient. Frequently, people assume the transference of Reiki healing energy comes from the practitioner’s own vital life force energy; when in fact, it simply passes through them like electricity travels through copper wire. When a person receives a Reiki treatment, the Rei energy assesses where the individual needs it the most and directs the healing energy. Reiki clears and heals the body’s energy pathways, restoring healthy Ki flow naturally. When Ki flow is restored, the physical organs and tissues complete their healing process.

REIKI 1 WORKSHOP WITH CERTIFICATION

A TWO-DAY EXPERIENCED-BASED TRAINING PROGRAM (14 HOURS)

Over the course of the first degree training program, students will learn what Reiki is, how it was originated by Mikao Usui, and discover the way of self-healing and the hands-on healing treatments. They’ll receive four Reiki attunements, which will connect them to the Universal energy source and allow them to be able to:

· Scan the body of the person receiving treatment
· Detect areas of the body with reduced vitality
· Channel Reiki energy into themself or transfer to others
· Feel the energy as it flows through their hands
· Apprehend how one’s attitude can create disharmony in the mind and emotions, and how it causes dis-ease in the physical body
